The organization will have no impact upon daily operations of the community site which is, and always will be, community run. Gavist Media will be responsible for negotiating publisher and developer partnerships, managing business operations surrounding the MMOG Store, planning and executing MMOGCon, and other necessary functions to further the awareness and enjoyment of global scope Massively Multiplayer Online games.
"Through the organization of the company we hope to obtain greater recognition and negotiating power with the game publishers and developers," said Paul Stout, Founder and CEO. "The organization of Gavist Media will better assist us in accomplishing our future goals of MMOGCon and bring the fan community closer to the MMO game industry. The gamer community now has a voice among the industry; a company working for them to bring more awareness and more enjoyment of the games they choose to inhabit. We hope to be that liaison between community and industry."

About MyMMOGames:
MyMMOGames.net (MMOG) is an MMORPG community established June 16, 2008. MMOG is a community for the "nomad MMO gamer" - a community where a gamer can plug into a solid community but not have to leave that community when he or she moves on to a different game. MyMMOGames features discussion forums, a comprehensive MMO wiki for featured (and other) games, a staff blog, an image gallery, and IRC chat. More features may be added in the future as we are always looking for ways to enhance the MMO community experience. MMOG is managed by an all-volunteer staff and potential staff members go through a rigorous selection process before being promoted.MyMMOGames is free for use.
