SAN JOSE, Calif. - January 7, 2009 - Gavist Media LLC, a leading provider of Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) gaming community services, today announced a planned project to develop and publish a multiplayer online strategy browser game.
"We're constantly looking for ways to enhance our MMO community experience and expand the range of services we offer to that community," said Paul Stout, CEO of Gavist Media. "In developing our own browser game, we give our community another avenue by which to enjoy our community without competing with our current partners and affiliates. We have many talented artists and developers on staff and we'll be working closely with our design partners on this project. We're all very excited about this opportunity."
The project, codenamed Tsagi, currently has 2 developers and 3 graphic artists involved in development. "Tsagi is the Cherokee word for dreams. That's just what we're doing with this project - realizing our dreams of creating the best MMO community on the web," commented Paul.
The game development began December 29, 2008 and beta testing is tentatively scheduled to begin early 4th quarter of 2009. The game will be free to play and supported by premium features. Additional revenue from the game will be used to fund Gavist's projected MMO gaming convention.
