SAN JOSE, Calif. - June 27, 2009 - Gavist Media LLC, a leading provider of gaming community services, today announced public beta testing of /gg FTW - a new social bookmarking site dedicated to gaming links. The service is currently in public beta and is expected to be fully operational by the third quarter of 2009. The site is available for testing at http://ggftw.com.
/gg FTW (pronounced "gee gee for the win") provides a repository of the highest user-rated links for gaming-related sites, allows for discussion around interesting links, provides a URL shortening service, and integrates with trending social networking sites. Links are searchable and can be sorted either by popularity or reverse chronologically for a given category, tag, or timeframe.
"We want this to be a gamer's 'one-stop shop' for finding resources," said Paul Stout, CEO of Gavist Media. "If players are looking for top quality reviews, walkthroughs, guides, images, or trailers we want to provide that in an intuitive format without having to wade through every link on the net."
"We're excited about this opportunity," continued Stout. "The gaming web sphere has needed something like this for quite some time. We're pleased to be the ones to finally provide it. Over the next 3 months we hope to expand our product based upon the valuable feedback we receive from our users, partners, and industry colleagues."
